Are you passionate about high-speed electronics design? Do you want to master simulation and analysis? And would you like to be part of a young and international team of specialists who use their expertise to help clients optimize their designs?
Then we are looking for you!
Your Role as Signal & Power Integrity Engineer
As a Signal & Power Integrity Engineer, you will join the Sintecs Analysis Team. Together with your colleagues, you will work on challenging projects and contribute to maintaining our leading position in high-speed designs.
In this role, you will delve into everything related to electrical signal processing and its preservation when a PCB is used for signal transport. You will thoroughly analyze designs for signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), crosstalk, and timing, using tools such as IBIS, timing models, and S-parameter models. During your onboarding period, you’ll receive the time and guidance to familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of SI/PI, complex PCB technology, and high-speed interfaces.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing why a prototype isn’t functioning and optimizing the design to meet SI/PI requirements.
- Consulting with clients to find the best technical solutions.
- Making independent decisions with the support and inspiration of your colleagues.
- Assisting the hardware and layout team during the design phase to account for SI/PI effects, ensuring that analyses during the design phase prevent the need for modifications later.
- Eventually contributing to process optimization within our methodologies.
What defines you:
You are a technical expert with an eye for detail and a natural curiosity about how things work. Challenges don’t deter you; instead, you see them as opportunities to improve. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and clients and are proactive in taking on tasks. You work in a structured manner, staying sharp without losing sight of details. Whether you’re experienced in high-speed electronics simulation or eager to grow in this field, we value your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
What We Expect:
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer or PCB Layout Engineer.
- Interest in simulation techniques, PCB layout, high-speed design, and innovation.
- A curious, flexible, and analytical mindset.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of IBIS models and high-speed interfaces like DDRx, USB, and PCIe is an advantage.
